COTSWOLDS WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER

STONE BARNS. GOLDEN LIGHT. UNSCRIPTED.

Based in Oxford, I film weddings across the Cotswolds for couples who want story-led coverage without turning the day into a production. From stone barns and manor houses to village churches and garden receptions across places like Cheltenham, Cirencester, Tetbury, Chipping Campden, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford and Bibury, I work quietly, capture clean audio, and build films that feel like the day as it actually happened. No staged takes. No fake moments. Just real atmosphere, real voices and a cinematic edit with momentum.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF COUNTRY WEDDING

The Problem: Traditional videographers often try to make a rustic barn look like a shiny ballroom. They bring in massive lights and gimbals that kill the mood.

My Approach: I shoot for the shadows.

I use natural light to capture the warmth of the fire pits and the texture of the stone walls. My films feel like the Cotswolds look: organic, timeless, and completely unforced.

  • Audio: I capture the sound of the wind in the trees and the crackle of the fire.
  • Visuals: Handheld, cinematic footage that moves with the energy of the party.

WEDDING FILMS I CREATE ACROSS THE COTSWOLDS

I regularly film weddings across the Cotswolds, from Cheltenham, Cirencester and Tetbury to Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh and Chipping Campden. That includes Cripps & Co barns, country manors, village churches, boutique hotels and private estates where light, stone, weather and space all shape how a wedding film needs to be handled.

If you are planning a Cotswolds wedding and want a film that feels calm, atmospheric and grounded in the day rather than over-produced, this is one of my main working regions. I know how to work quickly in busy market towns, quietly in churches, and lightly in darker barn venues without flattening the mood with harsh lighting.

CRIPPS & CO VENUES

Home to Cripps Barn and Stone Barn. These venues are famous for their dark, atmospheric lighting. I use fast prime lenses to see in the dark, capturing the fire pits and candlelight without killing the mood with bright video lights.

GRAND COTSWOLD MANORS

From the Italianate ruins of Euridge Manor to the ancient orchards of Caswell House. These venues have epic scale. I mix wide, cinematic establishing shots with tight, intimate moments to show off the grandeur without losing the emotion.

THE HIDDEN GEMS

From Bibury to Burford. I know the quiet backstreets for your portraits so we can avoid the tourists and get you back to the party in 15 minutes.

REAL COTSWOLDS WEDDINGS

If you want to see how this approach works on a real day, start with my Manor House Hotel wedding in Moreton-in-Marsh, a story that moves from Holy Trinity Church in Chipping Norton to a classic Cotswold manor setting.
