I approach London weddings not as a traditional wedding photographer, but as a street photographer. I’m not there to line you up in front of a landmark. I’m there to capture the collision of your celebration with the chaos of the capital.
From the confetti on the steps of Chelsea Old Town Hall to the late-night spill-out onto the pavement in Soho, I document the day exactly as it unfolds.
The Problem: Most London wedding photos look the same. The couple stands stiffly in front of St. Paul's while tourists watch.
The Fix: We keep moving.
I use small, unobtrusive cameras (Leica and Sony style) to blend into your guest list. I shoot the in-between moments: the taxi ride, the wind catching the veil, the toast at the pub.
No Lighting Rigs: I use available light to keep the atmosphere authentic.
No "Smile at the Camera": 99% of my delivery is unposed.
Editorial Edit: High contrast black & whites and rich, true-to-life colour.
BUILT FOR THE CITY OF LONDON AESTHETICS
My photography style is gritty, honest, and high-contrast. It is specifically designed for the textures of the city.
THE TOWN HALLS (Marylebone / Islington / Hackney):
The steps are a stage. I shoot wide to capture the architecture and close to catch the confetti in the air. No stopping the flow.
THE PUBS & BARS:
Cramped, dark, and loud. This is where my prime lenses thrive. I don't kill the vibe with flash; I embrace the grain.
THE WAREHOUSES:
Industrial lines and brick. I compose shots that use the geometry of the building to frame you, rather than just placing you in the middle of it.
ALSO NEED THE FILM?
I offer hybrid coverage for intimate city weddings.
