WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY ON FILM

DIGITAL FOR THE MOMENTS. FILM FOR THE FEELING.

In an era of AI editing and infinite cloud storage, shooting 35mm film is an act of rebellion. It is slow, deliberate, and undeniably real. I bring my background in analogue street photography to your wedding—capturing frames that feel like memories, not just files.

LEARNT ON THE STREETS.

I didn't learn photography on a digital screen. I cut my teeth shooting street photography on film. On the street, you don't get a second chance. You have to anticipate the moment, compose the frame, and trust your gut before you even click the shutter.

Why this matters for your wedding: I don't treat film as a "vintage filter." I use it with discipline. When I pick up my Leica or medium format camera, I am looking for the timeless shots—the portraits, the details, and the quiet moments that deserve the permanence of a negative.

THE HYBRID EDIT.

You don't have to choose between modern reliability and vintage aesthetics. My Hybrid Coverage gives you the best of both worlds.

  • 90% Digital: I shoot the fast-paced action (the confetti, the first dance, the speeches) on modern Sony cameras. This guarantees every moment is safe, sharp, and perfectly exposed.

  • 10% Analogue: Throughout the day, I switch to my film cameras for the editorial portraits and atmospheric details.

The Result: A gallery that tells the full story, peppered with stand-out, grainy, soulful film scans that look like they belong in a different era.

GRAIN, GRIT & SOUL

Why we still shoot chemical film in a digital world.

Delayed Gratification

There is no screen to check. No "delete" button. This forces me to be more present and connected to you, rather than looking at the back of my camera.

Skin Tones

Digital sensors try to guess colours. Film knows colour. There is a softness and warmth to analogue skin tones that digital presets simply cannot mimic.

The Imperfections

Light leaks. Soft focus. Heavy grain. These aren't mistakes; they are the texture of memory. Perfect for couples who want "art" over "accuracy."

HOW TO BOOK.

Film coverage can be added to any of my photography or hybrid collections. You can commission a specific number of rolls (e.g., 5 rolls of 35mm), or simply book the "Analogue Upgrade" for a curated mix throughout the day.

DIGITAL FILES GET LOST. NEGATIVES LAST FOREVER.

Hard drives fail. Cloud passwords get forgotten. But a negative is physical. It is a tangible slice of time that you can hold in your hand fifty years from now. Let’s shoot something that outlasts the algorithm.
