WEDDING ANNIVERSARY PHOTOGRAPHER OXFORDSHIRE & THE COTSWOLDS

YOUR STORY DID NOT END AT THE WEDDING.

Most wedding photos stop at the first chapter. Anniversary photography is about what came after. The years, the chaos, the quiet, the children, the moves, the near misses, the life you actually built. I photograph wedding anniversaries, vow renewals, and story-led couple sessions across Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds, and beyond with the same documentary eye I bring to weddings. No awkward posing. No fake romance. Just images that feel like the two of you now.

THIS IS NOT A NOSTALGIA SHOOT

Anniversary photography should not feel like a polite re-run of your wedding portraits. This is not about pretending nothing has changed. It is about documenting what changed, what lasted, and what still feels like yours. The connection is different now. Better in some ways. Harder earned. Less performative. More real.

That is why I keep the approach simple. No heavy direction. No stiff posing. No forced smiles in a lavender field. Just honest, cinematic photographs of the two of you in a place that means something, shaped by the same documentary approach that runs through my wedding photography.

WHO THIS IS FOR

  • Anniversary Sessions: For couples marking five years, ten years, twenty years, or more with photographs that feel current, not sentimental.
  • Vow Renewals: For couples renewing promises without turning the day into a second wedding.
  • Post-Wedding Portraits: For those who want the portraits they never had time for the first time round.
  • Legacy Sessions: For couples who understand that photographs become more valuable with age, not less.

WHERE IT WORKS BEST

I photograph anniversary sessions across Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds, and beyond. Some couples choose the village where they got married. Others head back to the hotel, the city, the coastline, or the countryside that still feels like theirs.

The right location does some of the work for you. A favourite walk. A pub garden after rain. The streets of Oxford at dusk. A quiet field in the Cotswolds. Somewhere with history, not just scenery.

HOW I SHOOT IT

I shoot anniversary photography the same way I shoot weddings. I watch first. Then I step in only when it helps. The result is a session that feels relaxed but never flat, guided but never over-managed. You get photographs with shape, atmosphere, and a bit of edge, without spending the whole time being told where to stand.

  • Documentary-Led: Real interaction first, direction second.
  • Location-Led: The setting matters. We use it properly.
  • Cinematic Editing: Clean, atmospheric images with depth and restraint.
  • No Cheese: Nothing forced, cringey, or over-romanticised.

THE SESSION

Most anniversary sessions are simple by design. Enough time to walk, talk, settle in, and make something honest. No full-day production. No overcomplicated planning. Just space to get beyond the first ten minutes of awkwardness and into something real.

  • Up to 90 minutes coverage
  • One meaningful location
  • A relaxed, guided approach
  • High-resolution edited images
  • Travel across Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds available

WHY PEOPLE BOOK THIS

Some couples book because they missed the portraits on their wedding day. Some because they never had wedding photography at all. Some because a milestone matters and they want to mark it properly. Others do it because they have finally realised the best photographs are not about youth, perfection, or the first chapter. They are about proof. Proof that the thing lasted.

COMMON QUESTIONS

IS THIS JUST FOR BIG ANNIVERSARIES?

No. Five years matters. Eleven years matters. Twenty-three years matters. If it means something to you, it is enough.

DO YOU ONLY COVER OXFORDSHIRE?

No. I work across Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds, and further afield for the right session and location.

DO WE NEED TO BE GOOD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA?

Absolutely not. Most couples say that at the start. The whole point of my approach is to remove the performance and get to something more natural.

CAN THIS WORK FOR A VOW RENEWAL?

Yes. It works especially well for small, intimate vow renewals where you want the emotion and atmosphere documented without turning it into a full wedding production.

CAN WE INCLUDE FAMILY OR CHILDREN?

Yes, if that is part of the story you want to tell. Some sessions stay focused on just the two of you. Others include the people who came after.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

Something that feels like you, just a more considered version of it. I can advise, but the aim is always timeless and honest, not over-styled.

STILL HERE. STILL YOURS.

The wedding day was one chapter. This is about everything that came after. If you want anniversary photography that feels honest, cinematic, and properly adult, I would love to hear your story.
