Wedding Photographers Cornwall

Cornwall Wedding Photographer + Filmmaker

You’re planning a celebration on Cornwall’s rugged coast—perhaps barefoot vows on Lusty Glaze Beach, a garden ceremony at Trebah, or a candle‑lit party in a Penzance barn. However you choose to say I do, you deserve photographs and a film that feel as alive as the day itself.

I’m Peter Haken, a documentary wedding photographer and filmmaker based on the South‑West peninsula. My unobtrusive approach lets you forget the cameras while I quietly craft storytelling images—and a cinematic, sound‑rich film—that bring you back to the gulls, the sea‑spray and the crackle of sparklers.

Why Couples Book Me for Both Photos and Film

One creative team, one plan, zero clashes.

"We absolutely love our video, it is perfect. Patrick and I have watched it over and over again and our emotions are overflowing. Thank you for giving us this gift we can share together now with our family and friends for a lifetime."

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you travel for destination weddings?

Absolutely – while Cornwall is home, I photograph love stories worldwide.

How many images will we receive?

400–700 fully edited photos, delivered in a private, password‑protected gallery.

When will our film be ready?

Your feature wedding film and separate highlight trailer land within 10–12 weeks.

How far in advance should we book?

Popular summer dates in June–September book 12–18 months ahead. If your wedding is sooner, still ask—I occasionally have mid‑week availability.

Do you charge travel within Cornwall?
Travel across Cornwall is included. For weddings beyond, fair mileage or accommodation costs may apply.
Will you use flash?
Only during dimly‑lit evening moments where it enhances the atmosphere. Daytime coverage is 100% natural light.
Can we share the film on social media?
Absolutely. Your gallery includes web‑ready files and a one‑minute trailer optimised for Instagram.
What happens if it rains?
Cornish weather is dramatic—but so are the photos. I carry weather‑sealed Leica bodies, clear umbrellas and dozens of backup plans.
